Many years ago, possibly before children, Eric and I attended our first company Christmas party for his new job. It was at the party that we won a gift certificate for Afternoon Tea for Two at Langdon Hall. I had never heard of LH, but after that first visit, we knew we had discovered something special. We have been loyal patrons ever since.

There are so many ways to enjoy this amazing place. I have annual day trips with my mom and sisters, friends and, of course, Eric. We tell everyone we can that they MUST visit! On very rare occasions, we have been fortunate enough to spend the night. I think the most important thing I can share about Langdon Hall is the service. Everyone makes you feel like you belong and that they are happy you are there.

A day trip to Langdon Hall always begins with breakfast – and we linger there for a long time. We always eat outside if we can. They have the most magical Camperdown Elm tree as the perfect canopy to dine under.

A spa treatment is also a must. We spend lots of time relaxing and enjoying the hot tub, steam room and sauna before and/or after our treatments. There is also a beautiful outdoor area to enjoy in the summer.

Langdon Hall is beautiful any time of year. Dip your toe in by driving in just for breakfast (with a reservation). Walk the grounds. Enjoy the gardens. Say hello to their resident Bernese Mountain dogs, Ivy and Phoebe. You will love it too, I know it!

AN OVERNIGHT VISIT to LANGDON HALL

Here is fun guide to optimizing an overnight visit to Langdon Hall.

Day 1

Go for a walk or use the bikes they have available for their beautiful trails or hit the fitness room.

Room and Rest

Head to your room to have a quick nap, watch tv, read, etc. before getting ready for dinner.

Dinner

Enjoy dinner in the main dining room. Wilk’s Bar is also a great, and more casual, option.

During dessert, ask to have a fire started in your room or at one of their outdoor fireplaces so it is waiting for you.

Day 2

Breakfast

Enjoy the most fabulous breakfast anywhere. And don’t be shy! Opt for an item from the a la carte menu AND the buffet for only a small charge more.

Relax

Take your tea or coffee to a different room in the main house or sit outside if you can. Sit by the fire and read or play a game during colder months.

Pack Up

Don’t worry – your time isn’t over but it’s time to get organized. Pack up the car but keep your spa bag with you.

Spa

Head to the spa for a treatment and more time to relax before heading home.

Enjoy!!!!!
