I do not think any other movie has ever left Eric and me so moved by its ending. We sat in silence for several minutes just taking in the true story and journey of Christopher McCandless and his search for the meaning of his life. I REALLY want to tell you what he discovers but it is one of the most profound scenes from any movie, ever, so I will let you see if for yourself.

Great movie. I read the book some years ago and daydreamed about leaving the confines of society and expectation…….but I’d never have enough nerve to see it through myself. And even if I had the guts go through with it, there’d be too many people i’d miss.

I think a lot of us have had that thought at some point and the movie gave me the meaning people are searching for without having to do it myself! Our time camping is just the right amount of time getting away from society.
