I don’t think I can say anymore that I’m not much of a drinker. I suppose by comparison, I’m still not but I have certainly learned to appreciate the sweet surrender the perfect drink at the right moment offers.

In December, Eric started making Moscow Mules. And then one night he made one for me and I loved it. Which is a bit unusual. He used a spiced ginger beer so I had a coughing fit. And I still do, everytime. But at this point, that’s just part of the experience for me.

High on our kick of making these drinks, we bought friends proper Moscow Mule mugs. We enjoyed a socially distanced toast and the mugs sincerely made the drink taste even better.

Cheers!

Begin with lots of ice!
1 ½ shots Vodka (we’ve been using Tito’s)
Freshly squeezed lime juice (¼ of a slice)
Fill the rest of the cup with Spicy Ginger Beer (The Great Jamaican Ginger Beer Co – found at the grocery store)
Stir well

Oh, and you can see Eric make me this drink on my blog’s Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/onthebrightside__/ where I have inexplicably begun make live videos…
