I love Christmas for lots of reasons.  One of them is because I love buying gifts. I also love to make recommendations of great gift ideas to people. I like to be in good shape BY December 1st. This year, my Christmas shopping is well underway. Here are some gift ideas for the people in your life.  Most of these ideas are either on my wish list or they are gifts I am buying for others. I have linked as many items as I could to local stores! Shop local!

GIFTS I WOULD LOVE…

  1. Klippan Wool Blanket 2. Linnea’s Lights Candles 3. Eminence Organic Skin Care 4. Perth Soap Co. Rosemary Mint Body Lotion 5. Danielle O’Connor Jewellery 6. Lululemon Cross Chill Running Coat 7. OXO Good Grips Non-Stick Pro Bakeware 8. Me: Elton John Official Autobiography 9. Nike Air Zoom

I have suggested the Klippan wool blankets from Bradshaws before. They are truly beautiful and slightly on the indulgent side.

I am constantly burning my Golden Plum candle and Forest Fir candle from Wills and Prior.  Lighting them creates instant atmosphere!

Mia will be getting some of the Eminence skin care line from Illume for Christmas and my mom switched over to it after 30 years of using Clinique and Neostrata, twice a day! I have also asked for a bunch of their products.

Danielle’s jewellery is beautiful and many people will be receiving a gift of her work (earrings, bracelets and necklaces) for Christmas. Her daughter Estella (Estella’s Bracelets) is in on it now too and she is custom making her own bracelets. Great for birthday loot bags or gifts for your kids’ friends.

I need a new running coat!

Oh, and I was shamed by a friend about my old and disgusting bakeware. Watson’s has a line of great pans and so I have also asked for that too. (I don’t think there is anything wrong with having my own wish list…obviously!)

I have always loved Elton John, even as a kid. And then this year I saw Rocketman and I became crazy about him. I just bought concert tickets for his final tour! I really want to cozy up over the holidays and read his memoir.

GIFTS FOR MY KIDS…

  1. Scrunchies! 2. Air Force 1 Running Shoes 3. Sephora Brush Set 4. Nike Sandals 5. Roots Sweatpants 6. Foam Roller 7. Walkie Talkies 8. Sewing Machine 9. Blundstone for Kids

Scrunchies are all the rage (love it!) and this year Eric and I have both ordered one for every girl on our volleyball teams from Willow Design Co.  Both of the girls will also be getting them in their stockings.

Mia is desperate for a pair of Air Force 1 Nike shoes and her makeup brushes need replacing.

Nicholas added these sandals to his list as well as some new black Roots sweatpants.

Both kids are also getting foam rollers to take with them to their tournaments.

Chloe is still little. Yay! She loves playing with walkie talkies and our old ones are always breaking. I did a lot of research on which ones would be the best for her and my nephew.

She is also super into sewing and a kid’s sewing machine will be perfect for her.

Finally, Chloe’s friend has a pair of Blundstones and they look adorable. I will be picking her up a pair from Wuerth’s Shoes.

GIFTS FOR THE HUBBY OR FOR FRIENDS…

  1. NFL Coffee Table Book 2. Coffee! 3. Aeropress Coffee Maker (find at Revel!) 4. Credo Produce Bags 5. Code Names 6. Marshmallow Roasting Sticks 7. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Village 8. Saje Hand Soap 9. Monogrammed Glassware

Eric loves football and this beautiful coffee table book will be perfect. (I have asked him not to read this week’s post!)

We love picking up our coffee bean from To Bean or Not to Bean. Blair and Christy are THE nicest people and their coffee is delicious.  Coffee makes a great gift! A bag of beans will be in Eric’s stocking.

The Aeropress coffee maker is something I hope Eric really loves. I am getting one from Revel – I think they will have them gift wrapped soon! It is something he will be able to travel with and bring camping.

Credo produce bags from Bradshaws (or anywhere you can get them!) make great gifts for environmentalists. And isn’t that everyone now!?

Code Names is our new favourite game! Everyone we play with loves it! This would make a great gift for anyone on your list.

Marshmallow roasting sticks is an idea I came up with this summer when we were with friends. Who doesn’t need these?

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation turns 30 this year. This village and the figurines crack me up!!! There are so many people I could get one of these pieces for.

Any hand soap always makes a great hostess gift!

I bought Eric monogrammed beer glasses a few years ago for Christmas. They are a classy touch!

Two more ideas… Pazzo’s Christmas gift cards. Spend $100 and get $20 for yourself. These make great teacher gifts (I should know!). Chocolate Barr’s is also a shopping must for me every year. I love to give their chocolate out as generously as I can. It’s all so delicious and beautiful!

I hope some of these ideas help you with the people on your list. Shopping for gifts for the people we care about is a personal experience. Try and find a time when you are not feeling super rushed and super stressed – make a nice day of it! Most of these ideas can be purchased downtown and online. So easy!

What is on your list?

What gifts do you love to give?

A bit more…I know that Christmas is not just about buying gifts. Every year, I write a Gift of Christmas to someone. Check out my old blog. Here are some tips to shop on a budget.
